AfterElton Man of the Decade – The Battle!

By Rach | Published Sun Jan-3-10 -

You have until midnight on Sunday to cast your vote in AfterElton.com‘s Man of the Decade poll. As of Friday morning, 80% of the votes cast were split between Neil and John Barrowman, with less than twenty separating the two of them. Neil requested that we vote for him, and apparently the difference is now a lot more than 20 votes. But Barrowman isn’t one to stand by and watch, and entered the battle himself, as well as calling on friends to endorse his bid to win. And now on the NPH side, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day have joined in. So Neil fans, if you haven’t voted already, do it before time runs out!

In other news, there’s a wonderful new website called WhoseVoice.org. In their own words, they focus on “little known news stories behind the voiceovers, animation, video games and generally all things voice”. One of their first features is a really interesting look at Neil and all of the voice work that he’s done, with some clips you may not have seen before. Check it out here!

And a talk show heads up – Neil will be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel this coming Wednesday, January 6th, presumably to promote the 100th episode and the episode he directed. Other guests include Jeremy Renner and Really Doe. You can catch it at 12.05am (11.05pm central) on ABC.

Carrie Underwood’s All-Star Holiday Special

By Rach | Published Sun Dec-6-09 -

Carrie Underwood is hosting “An All-Star Holiday Special” on FOX tomorrow night. Neil voices Carrie’s dog Ace in one sketch, and it’s currently unknown if he actually appears in the show or if his involvement is voice-only. According to Jimmy Carter in Nashville, the segment is one of Underwood’s favourite parts of the show.

“A couple of my favorite parts in the show…there’s one that’s, like, allΒ about my dog. And I know that probably sounds weird. A lot of my fans know that my dog and I have a very close bond. I loveΒ him more than anything in the world. And I’ve always wondered what he thinks, what he thinks about. So weΒ kind of try toΒ answer that question. And Neil Patrick Harris plays the voice of Ace, and they just had a lot of fun with it. And we actually had to kind of tone it down a little bit ’cause they got a little carried away, but it was just a lot of fun, just, you know, kind of seeing Ace come to life.”

According to producer Nigel Lythgoe, the sketch sees a day in the life of Ace.

The special airs Monday, December 7th at 8pm ET on FOX. But don’t forget, there’s a new episode of HIMYM tomrrow night, 8pm ET on CBS.
