By Rach | Published Tue May-18-10 -

After yesterday’s announcement of the Hot 100 list, AfterElton.com have posted up comments from some of the people on the list. Click hereΒ to read in full what Neil, David and some of the other members of the Hot 100 think about their placing on the list.

Holy Pete, a repeat!?!Thanks for the votes, gentlemen. Β I don’t quite know how to respond Β - it’s always fun to be on the top of a pile of hot dudes? Β No, umm -Β it IS a lot more enjoyable the second time you do it? Β No, no. Β How about – I’ve always fantasized having these 99 guys behind me? Β Truly, though, the fact that David and I both made this list means a lot. Β Mainly, it means that there will be some enthusiastic role playing tonight. Β So thanks for that.Β Β ~ Neil Patrick Harris

And

Thank you to all who voted for me. How you knew that I have been running a fever lately is beyond me. I would especially like to thank my publicist Neil Patrick Harris. ~ David Burtka

Glee, Glee, more Glee (and some HIMYM)!

By Rach | Published Fri May-14-10 -

With Neil’s episode of Glee less than a week away, the promotion machines are going into overdrive. First off, if you want to hear a 30 second clip of Neil and Matthew Morrison singing Aerosmith’s “Dream On”, head over to this YouTube video.

Neil has been interviewed on a couple of radio shows in the last week or so, to promote the Listerine documentary. Last week he called into the Mark & Brian show, which you can hear here or download here (8 minutes), and this week he was on the Elvis Duran morning show, which you can play or download here (7 minutes). Both interviews are spoiler free for Glee, HIMYM and the Smurfs, though he discusses all three in both interviews.

There’s an interview with Joss Whedon up at The Wrap, he talks about reuniting with Neil.

Finally for now, Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the HIMYM season five DVD. Which this isn’t confirmed cover art, the placeholder art they used last year ended up being what was used, so it’s probably close.

Behind the scenes of “Glee”!

By Rach | Published Wed Apr-7-10 -

As seen on the Oprah Winfrey show – a day in the life of a Glee cast member. This was put together during the filming of Neil’s episode so he appears sporadically throughout, once filming a scene (so slight spoilers, if you’re particularly spoiler adverse), as does Joss.

You can watch the 4 minute video here!

Neil Patrick Harris Talks ‘Glee’ and Healthy Gums!

By Rach | Published Mon Mar-22-10 -

Neil talks to Entertainment Tonight while recording a voiceover for a new educational short from Listerine.

As for “This is Your Mouth,” Neil says he decided to lend his voice to the eight-minute film for a number of reasons: “I have a niece and nephew, and so I like being able to do darker, kind of ‘Harold & Kumar,’ Barney Stinson kind of roles that are a little edgier, but I also like to maintain a presence in the demographic within sort of a more educational slant.”

He adds, “I grew up going to EPCOT Center and things, so I enjoy the ‘narration’ voice.”

Neil Patrick Harris talks “Rent” and “Glee”.

By Rach | Published Sun Mar-21-10 -

While in Vegas for the CBS Films Luncheon at ShoWest (a film/cinema distribution trade show), Neil talked to Tony Potts from Access Hollywood about his directing future and his work on Glee, as well as a little playing a blind man about Beastly, the movie Neil was there to promote. We’ve got a bunch of photos from the event, featuring Neil, Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer, in our gallery.

Dracula’s Daughter’s Vs. The Space Brains had its world premiere at the Cleveland International Film Festival on Friday, and by all accounts was a massive success! Clevescene talks to director Frank Ippolito ahead of the premiere and had this to say of Neil’s casting:

Casting Harris, whom he knew through the magician Teller (the subject of the Teller shorts) wasn’t difficult. β€œHe likes quirky things,” Ippolito says of Harris. β€œMost of the stuff I see him do is a little weird so he thought it was cool. It wasn’t a struggle to get him to say yes.”

In other news, some further casting details have been released for the Smurfs movie. Glee star Jayma Mays has been cast as Neil’s pregnant wife in the live-action/CGI hybrid. This is being hailed by some as a “Glee reunion”, but don’t forget they’ve worked together before, when she played “Coat Check Girl” in season one of HIMYM.

Jayma Mays as Coat Check Girl, Josh Radnor as Ted Mosby and Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson

The NY Post has a photo of Neil on the Glee set (spoilers only for his outfit), and the Beastly camp have released a couple of new photos from the movie, one of which contains Neil and can be seen at Entertainment Weekly.

Glee, Celebrity Jeopardy, Harold & Kumar 3

By Rach | Published Mon Mar-15-10 -

I’ve added a Glee page to the television appearances section of the site. More and more spoilers for Neil’s Glee appearance are being released, but I understand that a lot of people might want to remain as unspoiled as possible. So we’ll update all Glee spoilers here, to give you the choice of reading it or not. We’ll continue to let you know here when that page has been updated, though.

Neil recorded an episode of Celebrity Jeopardy late last week, competing against CSI New York’s Hill Harper and former basketball player Rebecca Lobo. We’ll keep you updated with when that will air.

John Cho talked with Collider about the in-development third movie in the Harold & Kumar series:

The good news for fans of the Harold and Kumar series is the sequel is still moving forward and Cho said the plan is to film this June!Β  He said they’re currently figuring out who will direct the third installment and Neil Patrick Harris is supposed to be in it.Β  He said the film picks up a few years after the second film and it’s a legitimate holiday movie.

Finally, if you didn’t managed to view the Oscars opening before it was removed from the Oscars website, you can view it officially on YouTube, or PopSugar.
