Neil on Conan tomorrow (April 2nd)

By Rach | Published Sun Apr-1-12 -

Neil will be a guest on Conan, tomorrow (Monday, April 2nd) at 11/10c on TBS.

And if you’re a Netflix subscriber, you can now watch Doctor Horrible on instant watch.

These days, the amount of web series available online rivals that of actual television programming. In addition, the once held misconception that web series are some how inherently inferior to TV shows is largely dying off. One such web series that helped buck that notion is 2008’s Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. But don’t worry if you didn’t catch it online, no need to search and watch it episodically. Netflix’s has added the movie version, which is essentially the full length story arc sewn together, to its Watch Instantly service. Don’t have much time to spare? Fear not, this genre gem is less than 45 minutes long.

‘Company’ to hit UK cinemas, news roundup

By Rach | Published Thu Feb-2-12 -

Last year’s New York Philharmonic performance of Company – which was screened in US theaters last June – will finally be showing in the UK and Ireland on March 15. According to Playbill, “The high definition and surround-sound screenings will be followed by a live question-and-answer session with Neil Patrick Harris, who will talk about the enduring appeal of Sondheim’s work, and the experience of playing commitment-shy Robert. The interview with Harris will be conducted live from Los Angeles with live Twitter feed.” The cast also featured Patti LuPone, Katie Finneran, Christina Hendricks, Martha Plimpton and many others. Tickets will go on sale at www.sondheimscompany.com on February 3rd.

Company should be getting a DVD release sometime in the near future.

This week Neil talked to AccessHollywood, telling them that he would be happy to continue with HIMYM when his contract expires at the end of season 8, and that he’s not likely to be taking over from Ryan Seacrest as American Idol host. Watch him on Monday’s episode of The Talk here (or on YouTube if you’re outside the US) talking about HIMYM, David and the kids, and launching the new M&M character, Ms Brown. He also talked to Parade.com and USA Today.

Neil and racing driver Shannon McIntosh have participated in a photoshoot for the Tag Heuer ‘Time For Rebels’ exhibition. For behind the scenes pictures and info, check out photographer Rob Loud’s website.

Finally, back in December ET Online unearthed a video of Neil from 1989 in his Doogie days. Watch the video here!

Another interview roundup

By Rach | Published Sun Jul-31-11 -

On the Smurf promotional trail, Neil and Jayma talked to NBC’s iVillage and Entertainment Weekly, Neil talked to TheSevenSees.com and went on Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year, and there’s a nice interview with Neil at the National Post, another one at CinemaBlend and IAmRogue.com (with a video here), A Minute With Neil Patrick Harris via Reuters, and a write-up from Neil’s recent Smurfs press conference at Parade. Neil also called into a few radio shows to promote the movie, listen to him talking to LiteRock105 and Dave Ryan in the Morning.

Neil was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Bravo last Monday. If you’re in the US you can watch a video from the interview here.

Neil also voiced a character in yesterday’s BBC Radio 4 Saturday Play, the Great Tennessee Monkey Trial. If you’re in the UK you can catch it on iPlayer for 6 more days, here. The play was first broadcast in November 2009 as a co-production between the BBC and LA Theater Works.

And if you haven’t seen it already (we’re still catching up on a few things!) there’s a first look picture from the new Harold & Kumar movie over at Entertainment Weekly.

Smurfy Update

By Rach | Published Wed Jul-27-11 -

So while we were out of the country, Neil was on… everything. The gallery is currently being updated with photos from the Smurfs World Premiere and the Smurf Week Kick Off Ceremony (there are a few up there already for both events, with more to come), and now I’m going to do a brief roundup of everything else. Thanks so much to Marcy for helping us out by giving us a heads up on what he was up to, so we weren’t totally floundering when we got back!

Last Monday Neil was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which you can watch in two parts here and here (not region restricted).

He co-hosted Live with Regis and Kelly yesterday, and you can watch the host chat section here.

Neil will be on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight, on NBC at 12.35/11.35c.

Finally (for now – there’s more to come!) Neil and Jayma talked to Young Hollywood on their Smurfs promo trail:

TV updates & a brief hiatus

By Rach | Published Mon Jul-18-11 -

Neil will be a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight, which airs at 11.35/10.35c on NBC.

Neil will also be guest hosting Live with Regis & Kelly next Monday, July 25th. Jayma Mays, who plays Neil’s wife in the upcoming Smurfs movie, will be a guest on the show that day.

And for our brief hiatus – both myself and Hilary are heading off to San Diego for Comic Con tomorrow, so there probably won’t be any updates until we get home sometime next week. We’ll be around on Twitter so if there’s any major news we’ll try and post about it, but if we miss anything, we’re not neglecting our duties!
