Neil has once again been nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category for his role as Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother, and additionally has been nominated in the Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series category for his appearance as Bryan Ryan on Glee.

“Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit” has been nominated in the  Outstanding Original Music & Lyrics category, and HIMYM has again been nominated for Outstanding Art Direction in a Multi Camera Series. HIMYM misses out on a nomination in the Outstanding Comedy Series category this year.

Neil’s opening number at the Oscars, “No-One Wants To Do It Alone” picks up a nomination for Outstanding Choreography.

Finally, Batman: The Brave and The Bold: Mayhem of the Music Meister has been nominated for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score)

IGN have a couple of short snippets of interviews with Neil up, from a HIMYM set visit. In the first, he talks about the chances of him doing another episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and in the second he discusses the plot for the 100th episode (contains some spoilers for that episode).

Michael Ausiello has posted an exclusive clip from Neil’s upcoming episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which airs on October 23rd.

Warner Bros. announced yesterday that Mayhem of the Music Meister, Neil’s episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, will air on Cartoon Network on October 23rd at 7:30/6:30c. The episode premiered at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, and has since aired in Canada, Australia and the UK. We’re back! Sorry for the extended hiatus, catching up after holidays is always hard work!

Many thanks to Vanessa for getting in touch about this – Neil’s episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold (“Mayhem of the Music Meister”) is set to air in Australia this Saturday (August 8th) on Channel 9 at 8.35am/9.35am depending on your time zone. The episode is listed on both yourtv.com.au and Channel Nine‘s website, so it seems pretty accurate. The episode has so far only aired at Comic Con and isn’t set to air in the US until “sometime in the fall” so if it’s correct, Australia are getting a treat!

There’s been some controversy over the last day or so about the announcement of the decision to present some of the awards at this year’s Emmys before the ceremony airs on TV. The LA Times reports on what Neil and executive producer Don Mischer had to say about that at this year’s TCA Press Tour. Neil is currently still in Montreal shooting “Beastly” and so appeared at the Press Tour via Satellite – EW.com’s Michael Ausiello reports on what went on during the Emmy segment.

And we’ve finally had some confirmation on Neil’s part in “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. Cinematical.com talks to the people behind the movie here – How I Met Your Mother writers Chris Miller and Phil Lord. He will indeed be voiceing Steve the Monkey, “Flint’s monkey who has been hardwired with a speech device. However, he usually only runs around saying his own name.”

TV Guide report that Neil will voice the Music Meister in a season two episode of the Cartoon Network’s Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

“This is a big obnoxious, Broadway-type musical,” jokes Brave and the Bold producer James Tucker, who says Harris is “pitch perfect” in “Mayhem of the Music Meister!” as a former band-camp nerd turned megalomaniac. The Music Meister—an amalgamation of various DC Comics villains—“has the power to create song wherever he goes, and he’s trying to dominate the world,” Tucker says, before pointing out that the episode’s “plot itself is just the framework, an excuse to have everybody sing!” Tucker and producer/story editor Michael Jelenic wrote five original songs for the episode.

The episode is due to air in the fall but will be screened at The Brave & The Bold’s panel at San Diego Comic Con on July 24th at 10.00am.
