Twenty-one shelters from across New York City, gathered in an effort to find good homes for abandoned dogs and cats. Happily, over three dozen animals were adopted in one just afternoon as thousands of theatre-goers walked away with information about pet neutering and the benefits of shelter adoption.

Neil Patrick Harris (Assassins), Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot) and Alan Campbell (Sunset Boulevard), David Burtka (Opposite of Sex, Gypsy), Kerry Butler (Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray), Megan Hilty (Wicked), Kate Reinders (Wicked), Miriam Shor (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and Sarah Stiles (Spelling Bee), among others, were featured.
Upright Spices It Up w/Neil Patrick Harris & Pals (April 2008)
April brought a shower of Upright Cabaret across Southern California as the Upright Boys celebrated their third-year anniversary by producing a star-studded re-grand opening, four solo engagements, and a benefit for The Trevor Project co-hosted by Neil Patrick Harris with performances by Harris, David Burtka, Tony Nominee Valarie Pettiford, Becky Baeling, Leslie Odom Jr., and Jake Simpson.
