CBS Films have confirmed that Beastly is moving from a release date of July 30 this year, to March 18, 2011. It was moved from the original release date in order to avoid a clash with Zac Efron’s new movie, Charlie St Cloud – the reason given being that “we’ve been hearing from fans, so we know that having both Zac and Vanessa’s movies opening on the same day could be a real dilemma for people.”
Expect new trailers or featurettes to be announced in the coming months to keep up the publicity momentum they’ve already gathered.

Seriously I know I’m a little late for commenting but they should have maybe just dealt with it let them open on the same flipping day if people wanted to see both movies then they will, maybe not on the same day but still. this is a ridiculous reason. and speaking from a personal point of view I saw Charlie st cloud not on the VERY day it was released and honestly if both movies came out either on the same day or around the same day I still would have went to see both! now I have to wait EIGHT months -now five- to see a movie that I was extremely looking forward to THANKS!
