Neil talks to David Martindale of DFW.com about HIMYM, Harold & Kumar and more. And the name “RoBarney”, hated in fandom but becoming more widespread amongst the people who actually get to talk to the cast, rears its ugly head again.
Neil also gets a mention in this Hollywood Reporter critics’ pick list of who should win Emmys this year. It’s time for Piven to move over!
On another note, we know that there’s been a bit of a tabloid flurry about a certain story to do with Neil & David over the last week or so, and that we haven’t posted anything about it here. We just wanted to make it clear that we have the utmost respect for Neil’s privacy, especially when it comes to rumours and gossip, and our general rule of thumb is that we don’t post anything here that we feel he wouldn’t like to see if he ever came across the site. That also applies to the gallery, which is why you won’t find any stalkerazzi photos there.

I think it’s awesome that you’re being so consequent about your way of treating Neil’s private life. Stick to it, no matter what.

I think your policy on rumours is great. I have only been coming here since about January (that’s when I found this site) and I love it… I wasn’t sure how that sort of thing was handled, but I knew for sure you wouldn’t be posting it since I only expected you to post things that Neil himself has confirmed… I just wanted to make sure you were aware of what was being said, although I suppose I shouldn’t have even worried about that since you guys are probably WAY more on top of things than I am!

Poster – I’m sorry you feel that way. We had no intention of even mentioning them, but over a week later I was still receiving emails at the site’s contact address pointing us towards gossip sites and asking why we haven’t posted about it.
This is the first time since the site opened that we’ve come across anything like this and therefore as such it’s the first time we could make our position clear. In any further circumstances we’ll be continuing along the safest, most considerate route – saying nothing.

The fact that you have this policy is great, I can’t stand paparazzi and I always feel guilty seeing photos and things taken by them.
But ignore Poster, he/she’s just trolling. No one can be offended by someone acknowledging the existence of rumours. It’s not disrespecting anyone’s private life – you didn’t even say what the rumours were about.
