In other news, some further casting details have been released for the Smurfs movie. Glee star Jayma Mays has been cast as Neil’s pregnant wife in the live-action/CGI hybrid. This is being hailed by some as a “Glee reunion”, but don’t forget they’ve worked together before, when she played “Coat Check Girl” in season one of HIMYM.

The NY Post has a photo of Neil on the Glee set (spoilers only for his outfit), and the Beastly camp have released a couple of new photos from the movie, one of which contains Neil and can be seen at Entertainment Weekly.

I honestly don’t think that that is Neil’s Glee outfit; the pictures were taken at the parking lot, so it’s just his regular clothings.
But yay for Jayma Mays! And Hank Azaria… what a great cast.

That was what I assumed the first time I saw it, but then I thought that the fact that his and Matt’s outfits are quite similar in style might have been less coincidence and more to do with a particular spoiler I’d read about something they both have to do in the episode, so I figured better warn it as possible spoilers than say it’s just Neil in the parking lot and have it turn out to be the other way around!

Ah, I understand that. But he’s not wearing make-up and his hair isn’t done, so he consequently hasn’t been to make-up and fitting yet. Unless Glee has a limited budget and he had to bring his own clothes! But, I might be wrong. I wouldn’t be surprised, if he was wearing something similar for the show, though.

Ha, Glee spent so much getting Neil to appear that they couldn’t afford to clothe him too – that would be hilarious!
I think it’s more likely that you’re right, but better to be safe than sorry! I might amend the post to be clearer, though.

Tehe, maybe Neil *wanted* to bring his own clothes!
So he doesn’t end up in a sequin blazer again! (Though I’d bet he picked that one himself.)
And you know, it doesn’t really matter, I just get easily obsessed with little details. (Also, I tend to forget that some people are very touchy about any kind of spoilers, so you did the right thing.)
