Neil has been named host of the 2009 TV Land Awards. According to Variety, the awards “will take place April 19 at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City and run as a 90-minute special on TV Land a week later at 9 p.m. ET.” The ceremoney “honors legendary artists from the entertainment industry, features star musical performances, reunites some of the most iconic celebrity TV casts”, amongst other things. In his statement, TV Land President Larry W. Jones said that Neil “is a dynamic and versatile actor who has won the hearts of fans and critics alike. Over the past 20 years, Neil has continued to reinvent himself with memorable roles on television, on Broadway and in film. He brings a great sense of humor and quick wit to the table and we are thrilled to have him as our host.”
We also wanted to draw your attention to a new project that Neil’s involved in. He’s talked about it in recent days both in his Magic Newswire interview, and on Ellen – Accomplice: Hollywood. The original version, Accomplice: New York is the creation of brother-and-sister-team Tom Salamon and Betsy Sufott and began its run in April 2005. Described as “Part game, part theater, and part tour, Accomplice productions are unlike anything found in a theater, sending audiences on an actual journey through the streets of the city, Neil has now joined the Accomplice team as co-producer to create this West Coast version.
