The package contains two “seatfiller” positions. “Seat Fillers take the place of award recipients who get up to accept their award. (They have to be interviewed backstage). The camera does not like to see empty seats – hence, a lucky few are screened and allowed to take the seat of celebrities during the broadcast. Sometimes you stay in the same “primo” seat the entire telecast, other times you get to move around, rub elbows with all the celebrities!”
Bidding currently stands at $550 for the pair of tickets. You must be 18 years or over.
The Hollywood Charity Auction is a fundraiser for the Minorities in Broadcasting Training Program; a non profit 501(c)3 organization formed in 1992 to provide training opportunities to minority college graduates in TV/radio news reporting and news management.
