“Believe” Gala opening & more

Neil is on the list of VIPs set to attend tonight’s Gala opening of Cirque du Soleil and Criss Angel’s latest show, “Believe”.

During the month of October, Microsoft Windows Mobile bosses are donating $10,000 to the Ellen For The Cure cancer drive for every celebrity “dunked” on Ellen DeGeneres’ show. Earlier this week, Neil became one of those celebrities. If anybody has a video of this, we’d love to see it!

Justice League: The New Frontier, in which Neil voiced The Flash, is available on Blu-Ray now.

2008 World Magic Awards

Yesterday, Neil hosted the 2008 World Magic Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. We have arrivals photos in the gallery, and according to the Futon Critic, it will air on myNetworkTV on Wednesday November 26th at 8pm. Find out where to watch myNetworkTV in your area here.

The Bro Code hits stores officially on Tuesday, but if you’re in the US, some stores are reportedly stocking it already. Legen-waitforit.com has an excerpt of the book from Amazon, and a four minute clip from the audio book (read by Neil) provided by publishers Simon & Schuster.

First, the news bits – On October 24th, Neil will be among those helping to unveil Harry Houdini’s newly renovated star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The unveiling is at 2pm with the reception at 2.30 – more info here. In Dr Horrible news, you have until Saturday, October 11th to submit your application to join the Evil League of Evil.

Neil will be appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show tomorrow (Friday 19th).

According to this reliable source, Neil will once again be narrating for the Walt Disney World Resort’s Candlelight Processional on December 1-3. This will be Neil’s third consecutive year narrating for the Processional.

Entertainment Tonight’s Mary Hart went on set for episode 4.02, and you can watch the video here.

Finally, there are unwatermarked (unblurred) photos from the Creative Arts Emmys, and also some shots from last night’s CBS Comedy Premieres party.

Neil to host Creative Arts Emmys

In a press release earlier today, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that Neil and Sarah Chalke are to host this year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

“How I Met Your Mother‘s Neil Patrick Harris and Scrubs‘ Sarah Chalke will host the 2008 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards on Saturday, September 13 from the NOKIA Theatre it was announced today by Lee Miller and Steve Venezia, Executive Producers of the Creative Arts show. The show will air as a 2-hour special on E! Entertainment Television on Saturday, September 20 at 8:00 p.m.

Spike Jones Jr. will return to produce the show for the fourteenth year. “Everyone knows how great Neil and Sarah are as actors. Now they’ll get the opportunity to see how fearless they are as live hosts,” said Jones, Jr.”
