PR Newswire confirms that Neil will be reuniting with Jayma Mays, Sofia Vergara and the principal voice cast from last year’s The Smurfs for The Smurfs 2, scheduled for release in US theaters on July 13 2013.

In this sequel to the hybrid live action/animated family blockbuster comedy The Smurfs, the evil wizard Gargamel creates a couple of mischievous Smurf-like creatures called the Naughties that he hopes will let him harness the all-powerful, magical Smurf-essence. But when he discovers that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants — and only a secret spell that Smurfette knows can turn the Naughties into real Smurfs — Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings her to Paris, where he has been winning the adoration of millions as the world’s greatest sorcerer. It’s up to Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity to return to our world, reunite with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow, and rescue her! Will Smurfette, who has always felt different from the other Smurfs, find a new connection with the Naughties Vexy and Hackus – or will the Smurfs convince her that their love for her is True Blue?

Neil will also be taking on the role of Two-Face as Robot Chicken teams up with DC Comics and Warner Bros Animation for “a one-time special taking place within the universe that features the likes of Superman, Batman and Lois Lane”.

Set to air in the fall on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, the voice cast includes Green as Batman, Robin and Aquaman; Paul Reubens as the Riddler; Neil Patrick Harris as Two-Face; Alfred Molina as Lex Luthor; Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern; Megan Fox as Lois Lane; and Breckin Meyer as Superman. Additional voice cast includes Senreich, Abe Benrubi, Alex Borstein, Clare Grant, Tara Strong, Tom Root and Zeb Wells.

“Working with Seth and Matthew and the rest of the Robot Chicken crew has always been nothing short of insanity over the years,” DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns said. “DC, Warner Bros. Animation and Adult Swim together — how could anyone resist?”

E! talked to Neil at the Hooray for Hollygrove event last week, and he dished on the Robot Chicken special, his love of superhero stories, and his new @NPHFoodPorn Twitter account.

Next Chapter, which has given OWN its biggest ratings wins since the network launch in 2011, will feature Winfrey visiting How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris in his Los Angeles home, where she’ll meet his fraternal twin babies.

Oprah’s Next Chapter will air Sundays at 9pm as part of OWN’s summer schedule.
