Dr Horrible has been nominated for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form alongside episodes from Lost, Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who.

Winners will be announced at Worldcon in August.

Not surprisingly, Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog has scored several nominations in the Streamy Awards. Neil and Nathan Fillion have both been nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Web Series so it looks like we’ll be treated to one more fight between Dr Horrible and Captain Hammer after all!

The Ceremony will be broadcast online on 29th March. In the meantime, check out the full list of nominees here

Finally, the 2009 March Madness Championship has now ended and sadly Barney lost to Supernatural’s Dean Winchester by 2080 votes to 2635. Next year will be different!

New Dr Horrible t-shirt available

A new t-shirt has been added to the official Dr Horrible store. Personally I think it’s a shame that the image bears almost no resemblance to Neil whatsoever, but it’s a cool design nonetheless and it’s good to see they’re still adding new merchandise.

Neil talks Dr Horrible DVD release

Just a quick update for now – at the Spike TV VGAs last night, Neil was interviewed by fearnet.com about Dr Horrible, the DVD release (it’s going to be “awesome-town”, and he reveals that his solo on “Commentary!” is called “Neil’s Turn”).

News Roundup

A few short snippets of news today:

Neil was voted this week’s “Gay of the Week” at AfterElton.com.
The Paley Center for Media will be holding a Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog Sing-Along on Friday, December 19th at the NYC Center. If you’re a member, you can get your ticket for free now, and it’s $10 for non-members, on sale form December 12th (this Friday). And even if you can’t attend, visit the site, as there are some cool new behind the scenes pictures on all five pages.
Caps from the new HIMYM episode The Fight are up in our gallery.
As expected, the Dr Horrible CD Soundtrack is now down from $11.99 to $9.99 on Amazon.

And there’s a few of Neil’s TV/movies airing this week and next in the US – here’s a quick roundup of those for you (times are all East Coast):

Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode 4.03 – “Want” airs on USA, Wed Dec 10th at 04.00AM.
The Wedding Dress airs on Lifetime Movie Network, Mon Dec 15th at 02.00AM.
How I Met Your Mother‘s last new episode of 2008, 4.11 “Little Minnesota” airs on CBS, Mon Dec 15th at 08.30PM.
Undercover Brother airs on Comedy Central, Fri Dec 19th at 04.30PM.
The Christmas Wish airs on Lifetime, Sat Dec 20th at 11.00AM.

Dr Horrible CD Soundtrack on Amazon!

It’s a Dr Horrible heavy week this week – for all those of you with an aversion to iTunes, who prefer to have a real physical CD in your hands, or you just want to buy everything Dr Horrible you can get your hands on – there’s a motion picture CD soundtrack now available to pre-order. At $11.99 its now actually higher in price than the DVD, but it’s possible the price of this will drop as the orders come in, much like the DVD has done.

It’s due for relese on December 15th, four days before the DVD, and you can order it here.

Behind the Scenes of Dr Horrible

Amazon.com have updated the Dr Horrible DVD page with a behind-the-scenes clip. It’s only 28 seconds long, but a good portion of it is Neil being interviewed.

It’s also worth noting that Amazon have dropped the price to $13.49 from the original list price of $14.99. But don’t worry – if you ordered when it first went on sale, you should be charged the new price automatically.
